We all know music feels good. At least most of us. And we tend to have differing opinions about what kind of music feels best, but we can all agree that it feels good.
Fact is that music IS good for us! Better than we might think.
Several studies have shown that downtempo, harmonic music triggers relaxation responses in the brain. Heart rate slows down, muscles relax, which again can lead to pain relief, that again leads to deeper relaxation. Just like most of us know that music feels good, most of us know that deep relaxation is good for us. I would bet there are few that would argue against its numerous health benefits.
Another exiting benefit to sound and music is it`s remarkable ability to alter our state of consciousness that again can shine a light into our subconscious which allows us to heal emotional trauma, open doors deep in the mind that we didn't know existed, connect us with otherwordly energies and beings such as guiding spirits or whatever we might prefer to call them. Sound and music has probably been a part of the spiritual practice of human beings since the very beginning, and still is very much so today.
It goes even deeper and I will take you as deep as I have been myself, but all in good time.
This post is really just a quick introduction to this blog. Here I will share everything I know about sound, music and healing. To begin with I will go for one post a week, and then we will see. I will try to keep them relatively short and on point, and not be too precious and serious about it. I will also share and talk about the music I create myself, different collaborations with others and anything that might be related in any way.
I share because I really feel I have no other choice and because it is my absolute pleasure, as I believe that music can LITERALLY heal mankind and our mother the Earth, and be used to deliberately and consciously create the life in this world that I am convinced that we all long for.
