Taking Music Back!

I have always loved music. And I have always despised math. I have also always understood that music is math, but, thankfully, this was a kind of math that I could just do instinctively. I just know the answer. I do not have to think about it at all. Sounds a bit extraordinary, maybe, but I do not think it is. This is simply part of what we call musical talent. You are just born with that sense of timing. I can not express how thankful I am for having been born with this ability. If it were not for that I would have probably given up on music before I had even really begun, and I do not know what my life would have been like if it had gone that way.

Math still messes with my head. I do not feel that I have a natural talent for it at all. It takes a tremendous amount of energy for me to even do basic calculations. But I do not despise math anymore. Now I love it. It has revealed itself to me. In a way, forced itself on me. I now see it has immense beauty. Math is like a language. Numbers are like magic. And they are not invented by us humans. We have simply discovered them.

The entire universe can be broken down into numbers. Calculations. And every single thing in the universe, from a molecule, to our bodies to the sun and the moon are built on the same mathematical principles. At the base of it all there is a very simple formula, relating to known numerological phenomenons such as Phi, Fibonacci, Golden Ratio, etc. Every shape in the entire universe can be explained by geometry. And it all relates to everything else harmonically!

Harmony is key. And this is where music comes in. Music is based on the exact same principles as everything else in the universe. Well, of course, why would music be different from everything else right? It is pretty obvious by now, but sound has a very special function in it all. Sound is what creates, shapes and holds together matter! Without sound the entire thing would probably fall apart! Sound is extremely important to the function of the universe itself, and music is, of course, just organised sound. Sounds in harmonic relationships to each other. And sound is energy. Frequencies in harmonic relationships to each other. The Universe itself is music! In fact, the root meaning of the word universe is probably; One Song! Also, several religious scriptures from all over the world talks about how the universe was sung or spoken into being. We are living in a piece of music. A symphony.

Music has probably been a part of the spiritual practice of human beings forever. What is 100% sure is that it has been a part of it for a very long time, and still is. For most people today music has become a mean for entertainment or pleasure, and seemingly a trivial thing, but it is obvious that it still has great meaning to us. Very few people do not listen to music at all, and most people have at least one song they know of that just makes them feel amazing every time they hear it. It is the perfect escapism in many ways. It takes you away from the present moment and makes us forget. Sort of like a drug. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, but I would not say it is the ideal approach to music. However, what is way worse is that we have forgotten about the importance of harmony!

True music is tuned to the universe itself. Sure, you can have two sounds harmonise relative to each other and it will sound harmonious. And they are harmonious, but only relative to each other! They are not harmonious in relation to the fundamental harmony of the universe. This means it is out of tune with our natural harmony! And because of a phenomenon known as forced resonance, the vibration of sound “taking over” the vibration of everything it comes into contact with, which is what makes sound such an effective tool for energy work, it detunes us from our natural frequencies as well! This can cause all kinds of problems for us and I believe it is to blame for a lot of the challenges we are facing in the world today. We are constantly de-harmonising ourselves! Music is a sacred tool. It has a very powerful effect on its surroundings, and, simply put, I believe we have forgotten how to use this tool and we are not aware of the devastating effect this has on us.

This is, put as simply as possible, why I tune to A 432 hz and the pythagorean temperament. I believe these two factors are the key to true music! All of the music in the charts today is tuned to A 440 hz and equal temperament. An untrained ear will hear no difference. Even a trained ear will have difficulty hearing the difference! But make no mistake; there is a difference! A very significant, harmonic difference.

That is why I do what I do. This is part of the purpose of my life. I will spread this info, take music back to its true form, and bring harmony back into the world.

I am not the only one. We will succeed!

Thank you for reading

Jonas
